Day 1: Welcome to Lisbon
Arrive to Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon this morning where you'll be met by your host. Privately transfer to your
hotel in the city center. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore the surroundings of your hotel or the on site amenities. This evening, meet the amazing group you'll be traveling with at a welcome reception.
Day 2: City Tour & Pastry Class
Explore the city of Lisbon alongside a private guide. Experience Portuguese culture as you walk the narrow streets of the Alfama district and take in sweeping views from a hilltop castle. See the scenic coast of Belém and a UNESCO-recognized monastery. This afternoon put your apron on and learn the secret recipe behind the famous custard tarts, pastel de natas.
Day 3: Obidos, Nazare, Douro Valley
Today you'll travel north to your Douro retreat. On the way visit the medieval town of Óbidos and the stunning cliff views of Nazaré. Get a glimpse into a fisherman’s life in the seaside village during your leisure time. During your journey, savor landscapes that boast beautiful Atlantic coast views, verdant hills and impressive bluffs. Make your way to the Douro Valley and check-in for a 3-night stay.
Day 4: Culinary Class & Wine Tasting Fly to Luxor & Karnak and Luxor Temples
Enjoy a restful morning surrounded by vineyards. You may choose to book a spa appointment and indulge in a grape-derived treatment. Later today, reunite with the group for an on-site culinary workshop. After learning the secrets of Portuguese recipes, enjoy lunch together in the vineyards. This afternoon take time to relax and unwind. Your day concludes with a private wine tasting provided by a Quinta.
Day 5: Cruise the Douro River
Today, sip and savor some of the finest local wines in northern Portugal! Your day is full of enchanting vineyards, charming villages and delightful wine tastings. Board a private boat and cruise along the Douro River. Saúde (cheers) to a beautiful day!
Day 6: Porto & Tile Painting
Enjoy your last morning in the countryside at leisure before departing the Douro Valley. Privately transfer to the city of Porto for a two night stay. Learn the trade of Portuguese tile-making in a hands on workshop. You'll see these beautiful tile designs adorning buildings all over the city. This afternoon, settle into your hotel in the heart of the city.
Day 7: Porto City Tour & Lello Bookstore
Today you'll see the best of Porto and skip the lines! Known for its curved streets and blend of Moorish and Roman influences, visit the historic city center, explore Porto Cathedral and baroque churches, and learn how grapes traveled the Douro River to the coast where winemakers make famous Port (fortified wine). Visit "the most beautiful library in the world" with skip-the-line access. Your afternoon is yours to explore this vibrant city.
Day 8: Sintra & Cascais
Say goodbye to northern Portugal as we make our way back towards Lisbon today. On the way, we visit Sintra, a fairy tale town nestled in the mountains outside of Lisbon. Visit the National Palace of Pena featuring whimsical architecture, sprawling gardens, and some of the best views of the village below. This afternoon privately transfer to the seaside town for a two-night stay.
Day 9: A Day for You
Today is yours to rest, restore and reflect. Hop on the local train and explore the nearby seaside towns and beaches, enjoy the spa and wellness amenities of the hotel, venture back into Lisbon for an extra day of exploration, bike along the Tagus River, the choice is yours.

A private transfer will bring the group to Humberto Delgado Airport for your departure. This is the time we say 'see you soon,' parting ways until the next journey.
